Getting Organized

Everyone can forget at times. However, there are some really good organizers on the market. They may be helpful for the Personal Assistant to keep track of tasks needing to be done or appointments you might have with the PA.

The organizers have places for notes to be written and events can be marked on the calendar.

The Background Inquiry
Criminal History Information

We find that the request to complete this form weeds some people out of the hiring process. They, for some reason, decline to fill this out. We can only think that this is to our benefit.

We suggest contacting a non-profit Independent Living Center or social service agency to establish a relationship to get the Background processed so you or the potential provider do not’t have to pay for it.

This may seem time consuming but may end up saving you from some potentially unsafe and/or dangerous situations.

In Washington State, Aging and Adult Services and Division of Developmental Disabilities are required by law to process Background Inquiries on all providers contracted through the state to provide Personal Assistance Services to children or adults with disabilities.
