Duties:
Personal care, dressing, toileting, preparing food, transferring, in and out of wheelchair to shower, toilet, bed.
Household tasks:
Laundry, light cooking, ironing, vacuuming, cat box 4x week, floors, garbage, changing sheets, cleaning up after cooking and meals, special projects i.e. cleaning out closets or helping move things around, organize stuff, wash windows.
Errands:
Going to work site to help with toileting as scheduled, shopping 2x week, taking clothes in for altering, packages to UPS, pick up prescriptions, take cats to vet.
Expectations:
  • Have you own phone line
  • Buy your own food, toiletries and contribute to household items such as toilet paper, laundry soap, garbage bags, things we both use
  • No smoking, alcohol or drugs
  • Clean apartment once a week, vacuum, bathrooms, floors, etc
  • Keep laundry done up, no dishes or garbage laying around

Payment:
Payment is made through the Medicaid Personal Care Program. The wages are $1000/mo. Payment is made once per month through the state system. Social Security is paid and Unemployment taxes are paid. The employee is responsible for FICA taxes to be paid for IRS.
